The Cinema Work Producers’ Professional Association (SEYAP) was established in 2007 to protect and defend the common interests of film producers who carry out the initial fixation of films, to administer and monitor the rights granted under Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works, and to ensure the collection of compensation and royalty fees and their distribution to rights holders. As a non-profit organization, SEYAP operates with the goal of increasing public recognition and supporting the development of the producing profession, while promoting a sustainable future for all components of the cinema sector.

Our main activities

  • Effectively managing, monitoring, and protecting our members’ intellectual property rights
  • Ensuring the collection of royalties and compensation arising from the use of cinematographic works and distributing them to rights holders
  • Developing action plans related to intellectual property rights and the fight against piracy
  • Formulating policies to advance the producing profession and organizing national and international professional and scientific activities
  • Monitoring and reporting on national film festivals
  • Establishing professional and administrative relations with national and international public and private institutions to enhance the visibility and reputation of the Turkish film industry and independent producers
