The Association of International Collective Management of Audiovisual Works (AGICOA) is a non-profit organization established to collect and distribute international retransmission royalties on behalf of audiovisual producers. It operates in an efficient, professional, and transparent manner for the benefit of rights holders. Its core activities include negotiating licenses, monitoring all legal matters, tracking the use of works, and collecting payments on behalf of rights holders as part of collective rights management. Since 2000, AGICOA has collected and distributed more than EUR 500 million in royalties to rights holders, based on a portfolio of over one million audiovisual productions.
Audiovisual producers’ associations that register with AGICOA join a global community of approximately 20,000 rights holders worldwide, through which AGICOA negotiates rights internationally, secures licenses, and collects and distributes royalties. They also become part of an international network of professional partners. International activities are carried out through cooperation with the AGICOA Alliance, to which professional associations are affiliated, allowing rights holders to maintain a presence in local markets and express their views through their member organizations.
SEYAP has been a member of AGICOA since 2007 and became the first professional association in Türkiye to collect and distribute international retransmission royalties.
