Film Producers' Association of Turkey
As a nonprofit organization, SEYAP is committed to promoting greater public awareness of the
profession and contributing to its development, while advocating for a sustainable future
for all stakeholders in the filmmaking industry.
New Turkish Films, a project first organized by SEYAP in 2014 with the support of the Directorate General of Cinema under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, aims to introduce newly produced Turkish films that have not yet premiered internationally to programmers of major international film festivals and to increase the number of Turkish films screened at these festivals.
Within the scope of the project, festival programmers from competition and official sections are invited to Istanbul, where they attend screenings of newly produced Turkish films and take part in various industry activities. The project provides an opportunity for selected films to be considered for international festival programmes, contributing to greater international visibility for Turkish cinema, while also enabling producers and distributors to establish and develop international collaborations.
